What Is The Quickest Way To Lose Weight?

The fastest way to lose weight is through diet and exercise, period. That means taking in fewer calories than you burn. There’s no need to starve, and in fact periods of starvation such as skipping a meal could lead to more weight gain when the body enters “starvation” mode, not to mention starving yourself could cause serious damage to your body. Like so many other things slow and steady wins the race. A well balanced diet eaten daily along with a quality exercise program over the long haul is the best and fastest way to lose weight. And the best part is you won’t regain the weight.
The term diet isn’t refering to going on a diet, which is nothing more than than changing your dietary habits for a short time to hopefully lose weight. Your diet is how you eat every day not something you do just to lose weight. A well rounded diet has a variety of healthy nutritious foods from all of the food groups eaten moderately. If your diet is healthy and well balanced you can quickly and easily shift the amount of calories you take in every day to shed a couple of pounds.
Sounds like a big change, huh? That might not be the case. You may already eat most of the foods needed for a well balanced diet, just not in the right portions. For many people it’s a simple matter of cutting down portion sizes to move from bad eating to good eating. If the meals you’re eating are high quality and packed with nutrition it’s all right to indulge in an occasional dessert. Just remember not to have to much. White bread, white rice, and white sugar are nothing more than fill and need to be replaced in your diet with good wholesome nutritious foods.Start by eating healthy nutritious foods like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, preferably organic. This can replace the calorie dense but nutrient deficient processed prepackaged foods that are of little value.
A healthy diet can be maintained by planning ahead. You need to have a detailed plan and stick to it otherwise you end up skipping meals and eventually go on a binge. When you don’t follow through with your meal plans you will eventually end up at fast food place and end up eating less than desirable food. Plan meals in advance, including for occasions like parties and social gatherings. It only takes a few questions to find out what’s on the menu and plan the days other meals accordingly to not break the bank for calories. You have to realize that occasionally you are going to make a mistake. That’s just part of the plan, part of being human. If you make a mistake don’t let it get you down. One cheated meal doesn’t mean the whole diet, remember it’s an every day forever diet not just a few days diet, has failed.
You need to be on a daily exercise routine which includes at least thirty minutes of aerobics. That’s the goal, don’t worry if you miss a day here or there. It’s a good idea to add any extra activities you can to your daily routine. You don’t need to get that parking spot right by the door when you go shopping. You could even take the stairs instead of riding the elevator.
